about

This is a unique song, written for ladies who think they are something if they can get 'the band' to notice them. I've been involved in the Seattle music scene through both my sons as well as my grandson. We're musicians and songwriters. It's in our blood. But, with that much exposure as well as being a successful business owner, the 'Groupie Syndrome' appears again and again. This song exposes for the sake of the ladies, how 'The Band' views it all. Being a father and grandfather, this is just a good advice song for the girls.

lyrics

I'd love you forever
If you weren't so damn bad
Want you always and forever
If you weren't so damn bad
I'd love you all around the world
If you weren't so damn bad
I'd give up every other girl
If you weren't so damn bad

We all like you hanging 'round the group
You've got no standards and at times that's cool
When I needed someone just to use
Well it's you, it's you

When I said I'm not a marrying man
I didn't tell you I'm engaged to Pam
When I said I couldn't take you home
'Cause you'd freak out My dad and mom
When I said have another drink
It's because I wanted something stop and think
When you brought along your friend Nancy
I was afraid I might get a disease

We all like you hanging 'round the group
You've got no standards and at times that's cool
When I needed someone just to use
Well it's you, it's you, it's you

I'd take you with me on a private cruise
If you weren't so damn bad
Give you feelings and I'd give you moves
If you weren't so damn bad
I'd take you on a trip to the moon
If you weren't so damn bad
I'd do it all and I would do it soon
If you weren't so damn bad

We all like you hanging 'round the group
You've got no standards and at times that's cool
When I needed someone just to use
It's you, it's you, it's you

It's you

It's you

about

Rand Swift And The Wayward Band Seattle, Washington

I've been a songwriter forever writing a number of choruses over the years. But then things changed and I found myself out of that world. In retrospect, by some gracious act of love for me.

I continued over the years to write, mostly singing and playing for small crowds - me, the cat, the dog.

It was my middle son, also a songwriter and recording artist, deciding these must be produced. Thanks.
